Cats are fascinated with toys. If you were to close your eyes and reflect on your happiest memories with your cat, chances are that the images that come to mind are your cat(s) playing. Hunting, pouncing, overpowering, and hitting toys around provides cats and their people tons of joy - so why do cats so often ignore the toys we bring home for them?
There is one very straightforward rule to remember when getting toys for cats: cats want a variety of toys. They like an assortment of interactive cat toys that use each of their hunting skills. If you have enough toys, you can rotate your cat's choices so they can search for a favorite toy. Just don't hide a favorite toy away for good. Make sure your cats have chances to use all of their toys often.
What are the types of cat toys? Here are just a few:
Balls and chasers entice your cat to chase with feathers, fun noises, and unusual shapes.
Chew toys are a great choice for cats that love to chew. They also help to keep your cat's breath fresh and their teeth clean.
Interactive and electronic toys bring out the best in your cat's hunting abilities.
Plush and mice toys become treasured toys that can soothe and ease your cat when it's time to go into the carrier.
Scratcher posts and mats are a must for all ages of cats, from kitties to senior cats.
Teasers and wands are great toys for sharing playtime with your cat.
Tunnels become the hiding places where you can quickly find your cat.
And variety packs help make sure your cat always has a fun toy.
Cats like toys that are light and small enough to be whacked without a lot of effort. They also enjoy toys that are small enough to be grasped. And their favorite toys are objects they can engage with in several different ways.
When you are looking for toys for your cat, you need to be sure they don't have any strings that could be pulled off and ingested. They need to be large enough that your cat won't try to eat them. They must be made from non-toxic materials. Tiny button eyes and button noses are adorable, but anything that can be bitten off and swallowed is risky for your cat. Cats of all ages can be harmed by toys with sharp points and edges. At Woof Gang Bakery & Grooming Ormond Beach, we only offer toys that are safe for your cat.
You will find the toys your cat will love at Woof Gang Bakery & Grooming Ormond Beach in Ormond Beach, FL. We have a wide selection of toys to entertain every cat at prices that will excite you. Stop by today or call us with any questions.
This was my dogs first experience and both dogs loved Shawnee. 5 Stars all the way!!!!! My Goldendoodle looks fabulous.
Heather was fantastic. I would go back just because she works there! Super kind and attentive. I couldn't be more pleased with my experience. I will definitely be back!
Taylor was amazing dealing with my street rescue (who is extremely difficult to give a bath to, much less a full grooming - I'm talking hours for just the bath when I DIY). Can't recommend highly enough. I have a groomer walking distance from my house, but drive a half hour each way because Taylor is THAT good.
Heather was fantastic at the Latitudes store as 1st contact. She was friendly and warm and had great information. A tremendous ambassador for Woof Gang Bakery. Taylor the groomer at the Ormand Beach site was so gentle and professional with my dog Gabby. I'm so happy as we are from Pa and just bought a house here. I will be calling to set up our 6 week grooming appointments!!
